On Maxim Obrezkov's barren stage hangs a massive, swaying moon as the world tilts off its axis. Artur Ivanov portrays a physically imposing King Lear trapped between life and death from the start, unraveling alongside Victor Dobronravov’s Gloucester and Sergei Volkov’s cynical Edmund. Evgenia Kregzhde doubles magnificently as both Cordelia and the Fool. Driven by a sweeping, thunderous soundtrack, this interpretation turns the tragedy into a visceral, intense nightmare about human loneliness.
