PERFORMANCE: "ASTEROID B-612"

November 8-22, 2026. Prepare to embark on an unforgettable journey through the cosmos with acclaimed dramaturg and performer Roman Freud

Asteroid B-612 is a creative exploration of the human condition, framed through the lens of a distant, isolated world. The plot centers around a middle-aged author on a plane, who is racing against time to finish his work before the plane touches the ground. Compounding his anxiety is a deep-seated fear of flying, adding another layer of tension and urgency to his quest. Freud masterfully weaves narrative and performance to offer audiences a thought-provoking and emotionally resonant journey, reflecting on themes of solitude, connection, and the pressures of creativity.

As both the dramaturg and the sole performer, Freud's nuanced portrayal delves deep into the psyche of his character, drawing inspiration from the universal themes found in literature and life itself. "I wanted to create a piece that resonates with the loneliness and wonder we all feel at some point in our lives," said Roman Freud. "This show is about the inner worlds we all inhabit, and how, even in isolation, there’s a beauty and meaning to be found."

Audiences will have the rare opportunity to witness a performance that blurs the lines between actor and storyteller, offering a glimpse into Freud's creative process and the world he has crafted.

Asteroid B-612 promises to be an Off-Broadway event not to be missed, offering a captivating blend of narrative, emotion, and artistry.

"I wanted to create a piece that resonates with the loneliness and wonder we all feel at some point in our lives," Freud said. "This show is about the inner worlds we all inhabit, and how, even in isolation, there's a beauty and meaning to be found."
